CHRISTIAN STANDARDS?

--

When I became a Christian, I thought I was the most holy thing.

I thought when you didn’t live up to my standards and what I expected a Christian should do, you weren’t really holy.

Through these past couple of years, I’ve come to realise how judgemental I was and didn’t see that God is sovereign and I’m not.

Sometimes, I feel like in Christianity, and in culture in general, we tend to put people to our own standards to make ourselves appear holy and ourselves appear righteous, and we forget that we are just in much in need of God as the next person.

We are just as much in need of God as the person standing right next to us, so what right do I have to judge them?

Then, I should judge myself before I judge others.
